JAISUN BIOGRAPHY
Known simply as "Jaisun", Jaisun McMillian is a published author, voice actor, singer, songwriter, playwright, director and producer, born in San Antonio Texas, USA, daughter of a New York jazz singer and musician. Jaisun moved to Los Angeles in 1966, and became a member of The World Famous Platters and later she joined Martha Reeves’ Vandellas.
Immediately after a lengthy Middle Eastern tour, her last with Martha Reeves, Jaisun was approached by legendary Motown writer/producer, William “Mickey “ Stevenson to do a solo album project. The single from Jaisun’s first solo album, Jaisun was #1 with a bullet in most major markets and in the top 50 Record World R&B hits of the 70’s. Jaisun has produced and performed many national broadcast commercials including Pepsi and Wendy's. Those who recognize her distinctive voice, hear Jaisun's Hanes commercials in Walmart frequently. She has also served as media buyer, planner and broadcast producer for prominent ad agencies agencies serving clients like Glaxo, Burroughs Wellcome, R.J. Reynolds and many others. For over 15 years, her voice has been heard delivering the marketing and advertising messages in local to national markets. MacDonald's, Minute Maid, Wachovia Bank, Goody's headache powder, various political appeals, movie appearances, just to name a few. Jaisun has also written, produced and been associated with award winning promotional radio, television and video. She has on-set experience as a member of the cast of “Rolling Thunder” with William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones “Melinda”, and various television shows. Jaisun lived and worked in Hollywood for over 25 years.
